Florence woodcrafts

Friends, I need your help! Will you help me decide on a final cover for my new book on Florentine artisans?

If I had to recommend a single traditional souvenir to bring home from Florence, it would be one of the ornate, gilded woodcrafts that fill the workshops of the Oltrarno’s narrow alleys. Considering their quality and uniqueness, lamps, frames, and other small wooden or gilded items are typically a great value. Best of all, meeting these masters of wood in person is an immersive cultural experience you won’t soon forget!

My wonderful designer, Shannon Bodie of Bookwise Design, has come up with a collection of colorful covers for my new series, Laura Morelli’s Authentic Arts. For the book entitled Artisans of Florence, here are a couple of choices. I love both of these images of these masters of wood! Which do you like best?
